Antonio Iriondo on team’s performance
” I’m not happy with the performance of today at all. We had our phases. We played a little bit better but in the other phases, we played really bad. Especially, in passing, we made a lot of unforced errors and couldn’t keep the ball with us which made us lose control of the game.”
Antonio Iriondo thinks his team needs to learn to play under pressure
” We will have to figure out this after the analysis of the match. Sometimes players with too much pressure aren’t able to give their best performance.
“Players who could handle the pressure played good. Our game isn’t only a tactical situation but also the psychological situation. We will work with players to overcome this phase.”
Antonio Iriondo on fixing the issue
” In a match like this our defence wasn’t top-notch and we need to work on it. Our goalkeeper had a great game. It’s part of his job and that’s why we were able to keep a clean sheet. The match can be divided into two parts. We played better than them in the first half and in the second half they played better than us.”
Antonio Iriondo on missing opportunity
” We had our chances and we missed them. Their goalkeeper had a good game as well. The most notable one would be the bicycle kick from Farukh saved from 12 yeards.”
