Indian U-17 Women’s team undergo a 10 days preparatory camp at Kalyani

Indian U17 women’s football team set to undergo a 10 days preparation at Kalyani Stadium for the upcoming FIFA U17 World Cup 2020.

Indian U-17 women’s team has been in camp for the last 9 months ahead of U-17 football World Cup. After a short break U-17 women’s team reunited for the preparatory camp, which will start from 9th November at Kalyani Stadium.

After winning U-15 Women’s SAFF Championship Indian U-17 team coach Alex Ambrose met the AIFF media and talked about the Camp.

Alex Ambrose thinks the camp will open up many ways for the team

“The tournament in Kalyani will open up a lot of avenues for us. We have already had a set bunch of players for four months now but this will allow us to take a look at other players as well.” Alex Ambrose told the AIFF

 

Alex Ambrose on the future of Indian women’s football

” This is the future of women’s football in India, and we need to build them up in the best possible manner, in order to further improve.”

 

Alex Ambrose thinks¬† this tour will be crucial for the other players who haven’t performed or get many chances

“Also, for the girls who did not get much match time in the exposure tours or in the U-15 SAFF championship, it is a good opportunity to show what they have got.”
