India bowed out from the AFC U-19 championship race

It is always a tough game for India when they face one of the powerhouses of Asia Saudi Arabia. The blue colts have been eliminated from the U-19 AFC Championship 2020 Qualifiers after two consecutive loss against Uzbekistan and Saudia Arabia by 2-0 and 4-0.

The Blue Colts faced the Saudia Arabia in the do or die match at Prince Saud Bin Jalawai Stadium in Al Khobar on 8th November.

Goal

The host opened up the goalmouth in the second minute of the game, Saudi forward Mohammad Khalil received a loose ball and put it past the last line of Indian defence Prabhsukhan Singh Gill.

 

Second Goal

The home side doubles their lead on the 10th minute of the game. Ahmed Albassas received one cross which comes from the left flank, he clinically finishes off it.

 

Third Goal

Saudi midfielder Ahmed Albassas scored a brace on the 18th minute, he guided a through ball into the net by splitting the defence.

 

Fourth Goal 

Ahmed Albassas completes his hat-trick on the 28th minute and put the last nail in the coffin. Ahmed Albassas convert a low cross into the net which comes from the left flank.

 

First-ever best chances for India

On the 43rd minute, Indian midfielder Ninthoinganba Meetei was very close to scoring. He took a powerful shot on the edge of the penalty box, unfortunately, it finds the side-netting.

Saudi almost finds their fifth goal as their midfielder Ahmed Albassas’s goal-bound shot somehow Indian goalkeeper Gill’s outstretched hand saves it.
