Churchill and Indian arrows wants to get their winning momentum

Churchill Brothers are all set to play against Indian Arrows at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Fatordah) on Saturday (28/12/19). The match will be telecasted on DSports and I-League official Facebook page sharp at 7.00 pm IST.

Though it’s a home game for Churchill, it’ll not be easy for them. Churchill has played their last game 20 days ago against Mohun Bagan, the reason why they need the momentum to win this match. The Goan side are now standing in the 4th position with 6 points in 2 games.

Ahead of the game Churchill Brothers head coach Bernardo Tavares met the pres in the pre-match press conference.

Bernardo Tavares wants to improve and motivate individually

“In my opinion, there are several factors but the main one is the willingness and motivation of the players who want to improve individually and collectively in the best possible manner. With this motivation, it is easier to work with the player individually, and thus improve our team to make it stronger as we know we will face very strong teams that are also well prepared.”Bernardo Tavares spoke in the pre-match conference.

Bernardo Tavares says wants to watch a good football as well as a win

“The Indian Arrows team is a well-organized defensive unit that does not concede many goals. In the offensive process of the team, there are always many players in the defensive balance. In the three games they have played so far, they have always lost by the slightest difference, showing that they are a team that defends well and that it will be difficult to score goals against them.

“They have shown their quality in offensive transition and offensive set-pieces. There are some Indian players with a lot of potentials who will surely be great players in the future.

“Hopefully tomorrow we will be able to watch a good football game and our team will be able to win the game and win the 3 points.”Bernardo Tavares concluded.

Meanwhile, Indian Arrows are now standing on the last position with 0 wins and zero points in three games. They are looking to back in the winning ways.

Ahead of the clash Indian Arrows coach Shanmugam Venkatesh addressed the press in the pre-match press conference and shared his word.

Shanmugam Venkatesh says they are eager to secure a good result against Churchill

“Although we have failed to get a positive result yet, there are quite a few takeaways from the three matches so far. We were very close to securing a good result against Aizawl but it slipped in the dying minutes. Punjab FC won 3-1 against Chennai City but our boys held them for more than an hour before Dicka fired the winner. Overall, the learning process is on and we’re on the right track.

“Churchill are a superb team. Scoring four goals against Mohun Bagan, that too, in Kalyani speaks volumes about the firepower they possess upfront. Not only that, but their defensive unit is also in fine-tune. They are definitely going to start as the favourites. Shanmugam Venkatesh spoke in the pre-match conference.
